Seasons of Love

On Saturday we honored my sister Debbie with a Celebration of Life event for 400 of her family, friends, coaches and community. It was beautiful, moving tribute to her life and legacy. I had the honor of emceeing the event and sharing stories…and we had several speakers including Brian, my brother Mike, a few friends and Marianne Williamson and Deepak Chopra. Plus, per her request, we had the rooftop raising Eddie Baltrip Fulfillment Gospel Choir.

One of Debbie’s favorite songs is from the Broadway show, RENT, and the Choir sang it yesterday. As I listened to the lyrics, I realized I wanted to share them with all of you because they really speak to what is most important in life.

Seasons Of Love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights
In cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

In five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure
A year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love? Measure in love

Seasons of love. Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Journeys to plan.

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life
Of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned,
Or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned,
Or the way that she died.

It’s time now to sing out,
Tho’ the story never ends
Let’s celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Seasons of love!
Oh you got to got to
Remember the love!
You know that love is a gift from up above
Share love, give love spread love
Measure measure your life in love.

Wishing you love, laughter and magical kisses,

Arielle
