** She Dreamed of a Wedding in India… So I Made It Happen **
One of my secret superpowers? Casually making people’s wildest dreams come true.
So when my dear friend Barbara said her bucket list dream was to attend a real Indian wedding, I grinned and said: “I can make that happen.”
Turns out, I’d been invited to an epic, multi-day palace wedding in Jaipur and had originally RSVP’d no. But the universe whispered… why not?
With Brian happily staying home to bond with the cats and binge March Madness, I booked us into a 16-day, soul-soaked Indian adventure across palaces, temples, spice markets, and sacred rivers. And wow—did India deliver.
✨ From the glam Taj Mahal at sunrise…
To sunset flower ceremonies on the Ganges…
To barefoot dancing at a royal wedding…
To locking eyes with a wild leopard at dawn…
To floating meditations in Kerala’s backwaters…
This was my 8th trip to India—and Barbara’s first. And every moment felt like the Universe winking at us.
Along the way, we shopped for saris in Delhi, got blessed in Varanasi, dined under the stars in Agra, and received Ayurvedic spa treatments so blissful we practically levitated. (Note: Shirodhara = the forehead oil treatment of the gods.)
The wedding? A three-day global lovefest at Jaipur’s Rambagh Palace hosted by my friend Jai. Think: Elephants, peacocks, sparkle, sacred rituals, Colombian-Indian fusion feasts, and nonstop joy. A once-in-a-lifetime celebration of love.
We ended the trip in Kerala at my favorite resort on the planet—Kumarakom Lake Resort—where tabla and flute music floated across the water at sunset, and the pool flowed through our room.

India, once again, cracked my heart wide open. She always does.
Wishing you love, happiness, and magic,
