The Love Thief Celebration That Stole My Heart

I just had one of those weekends that fills your heart to the brim and leaves you smiling for days.

It began at the iconic Book Passage in Corte Madera, where I had the joy of sharing The Love Thief with a wonderful audience. So many old friends showed up — their hugs and cheers made it feel like a reunion and a celebration all rolled into one.

And then… the party really began. My dear friend Marci Shimoff opened her beautiful home and threw what can only be described as an unforgettable soirée. I’ve now officially dubbed her “The Pearl Mesta of Marin” — the legendary hostess with the mostest!

Imagine this:

Pizza, samosas, cobbler, and endless trays of delicious finger foods.
Glass after glass of Prosecco (my favorite!) lifted in heartfelt toasts.
And the pièce de résistance? An ice cream cake decorated with the cover of The Love Thief — yes, edible art at its best!

The event was pure joy, stretching on for hours longer than planned, because no one wanted it to end. Marci created the kind of warmth, connection, and sparkle that only she can.

I came away overflowing with gratitude — for friendship, for community, and for the chance to celebrate this book and this moment of life in such a magical way.

Thank you for being part of my journey. You make it all the sweeter.

With love & prosecco bubbles,

Arielle

P.S. The only one missing? Bri Bri, my Love Walla, who was home cat-sitting but don’t worry, he was there in spirit.
