Be A LOVE Philanthropist

One of my favorite lines from A Course In Miracles is this:

“The only thing that can be lacking in any situation is that which you are not giving.”

If your desire is to have more love in your life, the fastest way to get it is to give it.

This week I’d like to suggest that we all become “love philanthropists.”  (a great term from my friend Marci Shimoff)

For the rest of this week, consciously choose to give more love to everyone you come in contact with – your friends, family, co-workers, and especially strangers.

Then, at the end of each day, write a little note in your journal or “happiness jar” about what happened and how you felt.

By the way, I learned about “happiness jars” from Elizabeth Gilbert. Years ago she vowed to herself that every night she would write down the happiest moment of her day and save it forever. Each night she takes a minute to write down the best moment of the day, scrawled on the back of any scrap of paper or receipt.  On her not so great days, she reaches into the jar and pulls out a happy memory.  It’s a fantastic tradition. (this photo is my “happiness jar”)

This one small practice can make a big, big difference for you and everyone you share your love with.

Wishing you love, laughter and magical kisses,

Arielle
