Are You Pushing Away Miracles?

There once was a woman who saw on TV that her neighborhood was about to be flooded and the officials said everyone should evacuate.

She believed that God would save her and she ignored the warning.

Then a city worker knocked on her door and told her to leave for higher ground and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then the floods came and she had to run up to the second floor to stay dry.

A boat soon came to her second-story window to rescue her and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then the second floor flooded and she ended up on the roof of her home.

A helicopter came and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then she was swept away by the rising water and drowned.

When she got to heaven she yelled at God and said, “Why didn’t you save me?”

God said, “I sent you a warning on TV, a warning to your front door, a rescue boat, and a helicopter, why didn’t you listen?”

I share this story with you today because I often see people, in their manifesting process, focused on a very specific outcome, not knowing whether or not that outcome will save them or really make them happy.  It’s important to remember that our ultimate goal is happiness and satisfaction and to allow room for surprises and even miracles to occur.

We must stay open to signs, symbols, and helpful people that cross our path.

The road to manifestation is not always a straight line, and in the end, we may manifest something unexpected, but much more fulfilling.

Make room for surprises… and miracles.

Manifestation Rituals for Winter Solstice

Today is the Winter Solstice – the first day of winter and the shortest day of the year. Celebrated by cultures across the globe for more than 6,000 years, it signifies the return of light and with it, life.

This is a powerful day to take advantage of the cosmic energies so that you can clear the past and set a strong intention for the future.

Solstice

Here are four suggestions to make it happen:

1. If 2015 was a particularly difficult year

  • Letting go of the past clears the way and the space for a brighter future. Take some time to reflect on the hardest moments and situations of the past year and then write down everything negative that happened. Light a fire in your fireplace, your barbecue, or someplace outside.
  • Say a prayer of gratitude over this list, thanking the Universe for all of the lessons you received (however difficult) and then say: “Goodbye 2015. I let you go. I set you free and I set myself free.”
  • Burn the paper while visualizing your troubles disappearing in the smoke and setting you free.

2. Create a fabulous 2016

  • On one side of a piece of paper write down your dreams for the New Year. On the other side of the paper, write everything you are committed to doing to making your dream come true. Then commit to doing one item on this list every week until you have manifested the new dream.
  • Enroll a good friend to be your accountability buddy and to make sure you stick to your commitments.

3. Tithe

  • From whom or what did you receive spiritual nourishment this year?  Take a few minutes to sit down and write them a thank you note with a message of gratitude and enclose a generous check.

4. The healing power of water

  • Light some candles and draw yourself a soothing bath. Add your favorite essential oils or bath salts. Turn on some music and allow yourself at least 20 minutes of healing relaxation.
  • Put a smile on your face and visualize all the good that you would like to see happen in the coming year.

Why Your Dream Is Already A Reality

The core basis of my belief and understanding about manifestation (whether you are manifesting love, a car, a new career, or a new little black dress) is this:

There is no “time.” The past, present, and future all happen simultaneously.

When we have a desire for something, it’s because some part of us “already knows that this is possible for us,” on an unseen level.

Your dream is not some random thing out there some where, it is already in existence, calling upon you to dream it into your existence.

To do this, we must be willing to own and embrace the dream or desire and then take the necessary, appropriate action steps to bring it into 3-D reality.

The secret sauce for this is what I call feelingizations, a process to get out of your head and into your heart to deeply feel that what you have asked for IS already yours.

In 1944, Max Planck, the father of quantum theory, explained that there is a Universal field of energy that connects everything and everyone and he called this the Divine Matrix.

According to my amazing friend, Gregg Braden, author of The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles and Belief:

“The Divine Matrix is our world.

It is also everything in our world.

It is us and all that we love, hate, create and experience.

Living in the Divine Matrix, we are as artists expressing our innermost passions, fears, dreams and desires through the essence of a mysterious quantum canvas.

But we are the canvas, as well as the images upon the canvas.

We’re the paints, as well as the brushes.

In the Divine Matrix, we are the container

Within which all things exist, the bridge between

The creations of our inner and outer worlds,

And the mirror that shows us what we have created.

In the Divine Matrix, you are the seed of the miracle as well as the miracle itself.”

Remember the key to manifesting is to feel as though your dream or desire is accomplished and your prayers are already answered.

The Jim Carrey School of Manifesting

I was recently watching Jim Carrey on the Jay Leno show where he was promoting his new film, Mr. Poppers Penguins. Hilarious as always, Jim became very thoughtful when Jay asked him what he attributed his success to.

Jim Carrey then told the most remarkable story….he explained that when he first arrived in Los Angeles, he was doing his best to launch his career as a standup comedian. He would drive around the city like a madman every night to perform at as many as three times a night in three different clubs. Then, late at night, he would drive up to Mulholland Drive and park in a place where he could see the lights of Hollywood.

As he sat in his car he would visualize that he was the biggest star in the world. That the best scripts were being sent to him, along with the best offers. And he would feel would it would feel like to be super successful. On Thanksgiving 1995 he wrote himself a check in the amount of $10 million dollars and put on the memo line: for acting services rendered. Six months later, that is the exact amount he was paid to star in the film The Cable Guy. The rest is history.

Jim Carrey wasn’t sitting home wishing and hoping or buying into the myth “if it’s meant to be it will happen,” he was actively co-creating his career with the Universe.

Have you bought into the myth “if I am meant to be with my soulmate, they will find me.” Does this really make sense?

Imagine that you need to find a new job, would you simply sit on your couch saying, “if it’s meant to be for me to have a job, it will come find me?”

Of course not.

You have the power and ability to manifest a soulmate, and so much more.

To manifest your soulmate here are eight things you can begin doing today:

Manifesting in Baby Steps

I completed writing my eighth book and I’m feeling a mixture of elation and fulfillment while I am also present to a sense of ease and grace. I began the process one year ago with the writing of the book proposal.

At that time I knew the title and I had a broad idea of what the book would be about but I didn’t have any confidence that I could actually write it.

Writing The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction was rather effortless because it only required that I remember the sequence and details of the steps I took to manifest Brian. All of the material already existed in my memory and in my product www.soulmatekit.com.

I was about to tackle a subject that had never been written about before and I would need to reveal deeply personal things about my relationship with Brian to make the book authentic and believable. Yikes!

The book, entitled Wabi Sabi Love: Finding Perfect Love in Imperfect Relationships, reveals that Wabi Sabi is an ancient Japanese art form that finds beauty and perfection in imperfection.

Wabi Sabi Love is the art and practice of loving the imperfections in ourselves and in our partner. It is not mere acceptance or denial of the things that may annoy us or even drive us crazy but rather a deep and profound appreciation for the uniqueness of each other.

As I began to write the book proposal I found myself frozen at the prospect of sharing my thoughts about this obscure art form and layering it into the world of relationship and marriage. Even though I had personally practiced Wabi Sabi in my life for decades, no one I knew had even heard of it. So, I asked myself a very important question:

What do I need to do to manifest a beautiful book that will be coded with love and wisdom? A book that offers encouragement to couples?

My inner guidance gave me this answer: Find a way to believe you were born to write this book and create a support team to help you.

And that is exactly what I did. I went online to do some research on Wabi Sabi which led me to an article on the subject by Robin Rice www.bewhoyouare.com , who I then immediately contacted. It turned out that not only is Robin well versed in Wabi Sabi, she has a soulmate relationship and she is a coach!

Within a few sessions I was well on my way to knowing and believing I was meant to write this book. Next I enrolled my husband Brian to be one of my editors on the book and asked my brilliant sister Debbie to provide guidance. Brian then reminded me that my friend, author Christine Hohlbaum, also in a soulmate marriage, www.christine.presskit247.com would be a perfect freelance editor to work with and thus my support team took shape.

Harper One (publisher of The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction ) bought the proposal and gave me 10 months to deliver the book. (Right now the publication date is set for January 2012 more than year away.)

Early on I decided to write 500 words a day, 5 days a week. Usually I write in the early evening after dinner and on the weekends. I also put a sign on my desk with the name of the book and these words “Let It Be Easy”.

Each day when I sat down to write I would do a short feelingization and then ask myself, what is the next step? Sometimes I would pick up the phone and call a friend and tell them what I was writing about and ask if they knew anyone with a great marriage that I could contact for a possible “Wabi Sabi Story”, or, I would Google a particular word or person and generally whatever was “next” would make itself known.

Manifesting this book was fun, creative, challenging at moments and ultimately very gratifying. Whether it’s a new job, a new love, or a new book, the steps of manifestation are always the same:

1) Have clarity in your intention.

2) Believe and trust you can achieve it.

3) Go into action.

What step can you take today to begin make one of your dreams come true?
